Normandy Beaches Tour

​

This is a guided Tour which will cover several of the Normandy Landings Museums and Beaches, along with the memorials set up to honour the men who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that Europe and indeed the world didn’t succumb to the Nazi regime.

​

Although the tour is only open full licence holders it is suitable for all abilities of rider with no technical aspects involved, (other than riding on the other side of the road).

​

There will be a structured itinerary available if you wish to follow our lead, but you can make your mind up on a day-to-day basis as to whether this suits your needs, or you are more than welcome to go your own way and meet up at the hotel in the evening to tell us all about your travels.

 

What do I get, and how much does it cost?

​

The costs are as follows:

Solo Rider with a room to themselves       £595 per person

Solo Rider sharing a room                         £450 per person

Rider and Pillion sharing a room                £395 per person

 

£150 Deposit per person on booking, with the balance to be paid 12 weeks before departure.

Whats included?

• Return Ferry Crossings from Poole to Cherbourg.

• Hotel room of your choice (breakfast extra, which allows you to try various local eateries)

• Satnav maps (Garmin or TomTom)

• Information pack

• Parking fees

• Museum Entrance fees

• Food

• Insurance or breakdown cover

Planned Itinerary

​

Friday:

• Sail from Poole to Cherbourg on the 8:15 crossing.

• Arrive Cherbourg approx. 2:15 French time

• Ride to Dead Mans Corner Museum (approx. 25 miles)

• Visit Overlord Museum (approx. 20 miles)

• Ride to British Normandy Memorial (Approx. 35 miles)

• Ride to the hotel in Arromanches- les-Bains (Approx 10 miles)

Saturday:

• Visit The Landings Museum Arromanches beach.

• Optional visit to Arromanches 360 cinema

• Ride to Bayeux to Battle of Normandy Museum

• Optional visit to Museum of Bayeux Tapestry

Sunday:

• Ride to Pegasus Bridge (approx.. 20 miles)

• Ride to Caen Memorial (approx. 8 miles)

• Utah Beach Museum OR WW2 Museum (approx. 25 miles)

• St Mere Eglise (approx. 15 miles)

• Ride to Cherbourg (approx. 35 miles)

• Ferry to Poole to arrive 9:45 British time
